Tanaye White is a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, impassioned mental health activist, and intersectional feminist. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland and raised in Connecticut. In 2014, she received her Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Maryland. Shortly after, she earned her Master’s in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from the esteemed Georgetown University.
The scholar led a full career as a Senior Communications Analyst for government agencies & international defense contractors in Washington D.C. However, after successfully becoming a finalist in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’s 2018 model search, she transitioned her career path to modeling full-time. The following year, she would reapply for the competition and win, becoming a coveted 2021 SI Swimsuit Rookie.
Tanaye now spends her time in New York City as a signed model to ONE Model Management. She also is a brand ambassador, leveraging her large YouTube and Instagram followings to share tips on fashion, fitness, and women’s empowerment. When she’s not modeling, she consults growing businesses through her established digital marketing agency.
Outside of the fashion industry, she commits herself to mental health awareness initiatives; one of which being #FeelGood Friday, a weekly movement she developed to promote mental health through dancing on her social media platforms. She is also an advocate for diversity & inclusion, and higher education.
Her hobbies include shopping, graphic design, traveling, and searching for the most delicious sushi & donut shops around the world.
