She was born in Baltimore, Maryland and raised in Southington, Connecticut. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park. She also earned her Master’s in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from the esteemed Georgetown University.

The scholar led a full career as a Senior Communications Analyst for federal and aerospace agencies in Washington D.C. However, after successfully becoming a finalist in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’s 2018 model search, she transitioned her career path to modeling full-time. The following year, she would reapply for the competition and win, becoming a coveted 2021 SI Swimsuit Rookie. She has been featured in publication for three consecutive years.

Tanaye now spends her time in New York City as a signed model to ONE Model Management. She’s been featured by brands including Victoria’s Secret, L’Oreal, Fenty Beauty, and Hervé Léger. She’s also an influencer, sharing tips on fashion, fitness, and mental wellness.

Outside of the fashion industry, she dedicates her time to mental health advocacy. White hosted the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s 2022 Lifesavers Gala. And she promotes her initiative — #FeelGood Friday, a weekly social media movement she developed to encourage mental wellness. She’s also an outspoken advocate for diversity & inclusion.

Her hobbies include staying active (she is a retired DII track & field long jumper), photography, traveling, and searching for the most savory sushi spots around the world.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
