Tanaye White for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2021

Tanaye White is an American model, mental health activist, and businesswoman. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland, and raised in Southington, Connecticut. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park, and earned her Master’s degree in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from Georgetown University.

In Washington D.C., the scholar led a full career as a Senior Communications Analyst for one of the largest aerospace agencies in the world but transitioned her career to modeling after becoming a finalist in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’s 2018 Swim Search. After winning the competition the following year, she became a coveted 2021 SI Swimsuit Rookie. She has been featured in the publication for three consecutive years.

Tanaye now lives in New York City, having modeled for brands that include Victoria’s Secret, L’Oreal, Estée Lauder, Fenty Beauty, Hervé Léger, and more. She uses her digital marketing background to her advantage, being a content creator for all things on fashion, beauty, fitness, and mental wellness.

White dedicates her time to mental health advocacy. She hosted the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s 2022 Lifesavers Gala and founded Feel Good Babe, a mental wellness company for women — spawned from her #FeelGood Friday initiative; a weekly social media movement she developed to encourage mental wellness.

The retired collegiate long jumper enjoys rock climbing, hot yoga, photography, and fine dining. She’s also an outspoken advocate for diversity & inclusion.
