MY 5 TRIED-AND-TRUE FOUNDATIONS

MY 5 TRIED-AND-TRUE FOUNDATIONS

Many people ask me how I get my makeup to look so flawless. Well, besides good skin care, the second secret is in the foundations that I use! Believe it or not, my skin is not flawless. Acne and breakouts always leave my skin with hyper-pigmentation. In order to cover up my dark spots, I make sure to use a good coverage foundation that pairs well with my skin type and color. Continue reading to learn the pros and cons of my favorite foundations!

L’OREAL True Match Super Blendable Makeup

Color: Cappuccino

This foundation has incredible coverage! I’d consider this one of the best drug-store foundations for people who want high coverage at a low price. With that being said, this foundation will sit in any crease on your face. So, I suggest pairing it with a primer.

COVERGIRL Queen Collection All Day Flawless Foundation

Color: Sheer Espresso

This foundation is very lightweight. A lot of times I forget that I even have foundation on my face. However, the sheerness of this foundation isn’t as buildable as one would like. So if there are days where I need higher coverage, I wouldn’t use this product.

Maybelline Fit Me Dewy + Smooth Foundation

Color: Mocha

This is my favorite drug store foundation that I’ve been using for years. I have nothing bad to say about this foundation except for the fact that I wish there were more color options available. Brown-skinned girls come in more than just two shades. Come on, Maybelline!

MAKE UP FOREVER Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation

Color: 177 – Cognac

Another one of my sheer foundations. However, this baby is buildable. It blends like milk into my skin. Only thing that bothers me about this foundation is it’s price. Yet considering its great quality and the fact that I’ve had this foundation for over a year, the price is worth it.

NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation

Color: Trinidad

My favorite high-end foundation. Although it’s lightweight, it doesn’t feel as lightweight as my COVERGIRL foundation. The pay off can also leave your face feeling powdery, if that makes sense. But, a little goes a long way with this bad boy and coverage is perfect!
